14 For this reason I kneel before the Father.  Ephesians 3:14

When was the last time you got down on your knees and asked God for spiritual power in someone else’s life? Or you got down on your knees to pray for someone who is lost and desperately needs a relationship with Christ? Or desperately prayed for another believer who is suffering?

As Paul is wrapping up chapter 3 of Ephesians, he gives us a glimpse into his prayer life.  What stands out is Paul’s concern and diligence to pray for others, even though he himself is in prison.  It makes me ask the question, would I be concerned with others if I myself were in prison?  Would I be concerned with others when everything in my world is falling apart?

Throughout Paul’s ministry, his focus was always on others and not himself.  In verse 13 of the same chapter you see this, I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory”.  He didn’t want his circumstances to effect others.

What are you dealing with today that is distracting you from Gods purposes?  Even in the midst of Covid19 are you finding new ways to impact others with the Gospel?  God wants to use you today and everyday! As we rest in God’s strength today, look for God opportunities to impact others!

“I lift up my eyes to the hills– where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm 121:1
