WHY WE GIVE
Giving is an Act of Worship and Ministry
John considers his financial supporters ‘fellow workers’ with him (3 John 1:5–8); even though they may (or may not) do the ministry physically, their funds make the ministry possible, making them a part of his work.
Giving Broadens and Expands Our Ministry
Your giving enables us to do more things that serve people and advances God’s kingdom in our community and our world.
Giving Deepens Our Passion for Ministry
We put our money where our priorities are, and then our heart follows where our money goes.
Because it is an act of worship, God is more interested in the shape of our heart than the size of our gift. That means we should seek to give Joyfully, Generously and Sacrificially.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Anyone wishing to give online via a credit card should do so only if your account will be paid in full each month without incurring interest or service charges. Summit strongly discourages anyone from entering into credit card debt to give, as this type of debt does not align with Biblical values. Also for every credit card transaction Summit must pay a 2.2% charge. Please consider adding that amount to your donation/tithe so that we can be better stewards of our money. A better option is to give using an electronic check because there is no charge and it will not accumulate any debt.
